Practice As Usual

8:33 pm in Rehearsals by David

Practice as usual each Monday night from 7.30pm through to about 8.45pm. Guests are welcome to come along with their instruments for one rehearsal without committing or paying. We would especially love to have more intermediate/advanced strings, and an experienced piano accompanist.

Eagleby Community Church

8:34 pm in Performances by David

Following our success at the Mt Gravatt Show last Saturday, we are looking to perform again this Saturday for the Eagleby Community Church at Eagleby Community Centre starting by 5:30pm this Saturday, 31 July 2010.

Note that there are two community centres in Eagleby – we will be at the smaller Eagleby Community Centre in Cowper Avenue next to the public pool. The program will be pretty much the same as we played at the Mt Gravatt Show.

Please bring a plate for the pot-luck dinner, and feel free to bring along the rest of your family. See you there!

Welcome to the music

Beenleigh PCYC Orchestra rehearses Monday evenings and performs at various community events throughout the year.

If you are interested in participating, feel free to drop by with your instrument at 7.30pm on any Monday evening (excluding school holidays and public holidays) to share the experience. Then if you would like to become a member, it’s as simple as joining the PCYC and paying a weekly attendance fee of $4.

As a community orchestra we welcome instrumentalists of many ages and skill levels who enjoy playing a variety of musical styles. Playing in an orchestra gives a great sense of satisfaction, especially when both the music and the camaraderie are enjoyable.
