We are moving!

August 3rd, 2011 10:26 pm

Big news! We are joining Beenleigh Theatre Group! All rehearsals (and many of the performances) will now be at the Crete Street Theatre in Beenleigh. The theatre is part of the complex of council buildings along Crete Street that include Beenleigh Library and The Events Centre. We look forward to working with our fellow culture vultures at the theatre, including A-Chord.

For the rest of this year, rehearsals will continue to start from 7pm, with downbeat at 7:30pm. We are rehearsing downstairs in the Green Room.

Next rehearsal – 11 July 2011

July 8th, 2011 11:29 am

We will be resuming our normal rehearsals from Monday 11 July 2011. See you at 7:30 pm.

Rehearsals resume 9 May, 2011

April 15th, 2011 5:13 pm

Because we traditionally do not rehearse during school holidays, and we can’t use the PCYC facilities on public holidays, we have a three-week break. Our next rehearsal will be on Monday 9 May 2011. Hope you have a good break.

Bring on 2011

January 24th, 2011 7:38 am

Welcome to the new year! Hope you and yours had a good break and weren’t too affected by the floods in Brisbane. This year promises to be the best ever for our growing ensemble, with a couple of new prospective members contacting Kylie and me. Don’t forget to spread the word with your musician friends.

Our first rehearsal is tonight, 7:30pm at Beenleigh PCYC on Alamein Street. We will revise some old favourites to get back into the swing of things, then start several new pieces in the coming weeks.

Christmas Performances (so far)

September 13th, 2010 5:12 am

We had a brilliant rehearsal this evening! That was a great welcome for our new cellist and new pianist. If we get much bigger we might need to find a new practice venue!

Remember that our next rehearsal will be on 4 October. We will start practicing for our Christmas performances.

So far we have two Christmas performances lined up:

  • Sunday 19 December at Logan Village
  • Thursday 23 December at Jeta Gardens Retirement Resort

More details to come closer to the dates. News of any other performances will be posted here as soon as they come to hand.
